Brian, it's so interesting to be able to see the patience and attention to detail that went into the making of this milestone poem. I can't think of a better way to celebrate turning 40. It's so much more meaningful than those black balloons and tombstone-themed 40th slapstick parties. Thank you for having the courage to show your notebook. I had a very intimate gathering for my 40th this year, just a small group of friends for a special dinner in the city. It was the perfect way to celebrate. No poetry, sadly, but my wife did write a very amusing and touching speech.

I think it would very interesting to read about constructing fiction...something I’ve never done!
